- This is the third and final song of Varien's "Valkyrie" trilogy.
- Every instrument used in Valkyrie III was played by a real life musician — either Varien himself, or a professional he hired.[1]
- Matt McGuire, an Australian drummer, did drums on the song.[2]
- Valkyrie III is one of Varien's most expensive songs to date.[3]
- It only took Varien 6 hours to compose the song, but it took longer to piece together the instruments.[4]
- According to Laura Brehm, the vocals were successfully recorded from the first take.[5]
- The song sections alluding back the first two songs of the Valkyrie trilogy, "Valkyrie" and "Valkyrie II: Lacuna".[6]
- If Varien had to "chapter" the songs, "Valkyrie III: Atonement" would be named Valkyrie III - The Warrior's Forgiveness.[7]
