Sarawak is the name of a state in Malaysia. It is located on the northwestern side of the island of Borneo, and is home to both jungles and people with their own unique culture. After growing both physically and creatively exhausted from touring, Morgan and Fletcher decided to go to Sarawak, where Morgan grew up.
Because of this fact, it can be presumed that the pictures in the arts for Daggers, Solid, and the SARAWAK EP all relate to the state of Sarawak and its people and culture.
Some of the sounds in the tracks were recorded by the duo during their stay, such as cicadas, the sound of a sape, and the echo of a cave.
SLUMBERJACK have posted a short video series on their YouTube channel detailing their trip to Sarawak and some of the experiences they went through there, which is obviously the inspiration for their EP.
To find an EP, navigate to the tab that the artist's name begins with. For example, Laszlo's Closer EP would be located under the L tab and then listed beside "Laszlo".
