An art contest was held for the artwork of Monstercat's Best of 2018 album. The winning artwork was created by Karma Moonshadow.
Two 2017 songs, Subside and A Lot Like You, were voted into the Best of 2018 album.
- This is the first time a track from a previous year has made it into a "Best of" compilation.
Above the Monstercat's skull, there's a crab, which is a reference to Noisestorm's Crab Rave, the biggest hit of the label in 2018.
Notably, all tracks released between March 19, 2018 to March 25, 2018 (My Love, Friends Again, What Are You Waiting For, Afraid Of The Dark) were voted into the album.
