Hi KCC, I'm Embryo. You've probably seen me around here updating artist pages, fixing categories, adding categories, pages, images, and just overall working hard to improve the wiki (number of edits in comparison with other users, and contributions). I haven't requested adminship until now because I viewed it as a privilege that I had not yet earned. However, in light of editors being promoted to admin status in the past few months, as well as the resignation/inactivity of admins and users over the past two years, and after I've had a year of experience editing the wiki, I believe that I'm now ready to bear the responsibility of being an admin.
Also, today February 18 is the one-year anniversary of my joining the wiki, so if you decide to promote me to admin, I request that it be done today if possible. It would be a much appreciated gesture.
P.S. This isn't related to Arion at all, by the way, so please don't interpret this as a request to replace him as bureaucrat. I think he's a good choice for that position, as long as he's able to handle the responsibility.
I'm not going to be as active as much, if active at all. I don't like where Monstercat is going or what they're releasing anymore. There needs to be an active adminstator here, and I can no longer fulfill that role. If you could please find someone responsible to give the role of administrator to, I would greatly appreciate it.
I may be back in a few days, years, or never. You don't have to revoke my adinistrator rights, only if you want to.
Thank you so much for your time and I am thankful for working with you.
Thank you, Vulpes, for all you've done and for letting me know of this (personally, I've been growing way less fond of their direction myself as of late) – and good luck with your endeavors in life. <3
(Before you leave, though, may I ask for you to promote TheARIONDimension to bureaucrat and admin? He's been doing a lot for the wiki lately, and I feel he'd make a good successor.)
I'd like to showcase certain pages as examples of good pages, do we have an icon or infobox to represent that? I can always create one if needed, I feel if we had examples, it would show less experienced users how a page should look properly, also wondering if we have anything for key artists and/or songs, example: Alone giving Monstercat their first platinum record, and tristam being the most streamed artist on Monstercat.
Some wikis have ways of showcasing "good articles", though implementing the methods can be time-consuming, and not every one of them can work everywhere. I'll look into this in more detail later today.
As for the artist/song achievements, they can probably go in the article leads (first paragraphs before any headings) or in Trivia sections; however, I'm more than open to other suggestions of where they can be placed.
Hi there KCCreations, I may be two months late to the ordeal, but I just wanted to say thank you so much for bringing this community to life. It means so much to me and everyone else that this is alive today in 2017, so thank you so much for your 1,554+ contribution over the past three years, and good luck. Idk in what though, you can decide where to put my luck, it's your life girl :)
This message speaks volumes to me. To know that what I've begun has gotten this far and that there are those who still care about it...it's perhaps one of the greatest feelings in the world. :')
Thank you so, so much for your words. <3 I'll remember these last two years for a long, long time, I'm sure of it – even me moving on from Monstercat won't shake how eye-opening and incredible they were.
I'm an admin over at the EDM Wiki , and was wondering if we could possibly partner up! I was thinking something as simple as me saying on the Monstercat page : "If you want to know more details about Monstercat, visit my partner's Monstercat wiki ! <link to your wiki" and "If you want to know more details about each musician from Monstercat, visit my Partner's Wiki <link to my wiki>"
